Ascension Football Group 2026 Winter Showcase – Participant Waiver and Release of Liability

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if under 18), acknowledge that participation in the Ascension Football Group 2026 Winter Showcase (“the Event”) involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, physical injury, illness, dehydration, collision, or other accidents arising from athletic activity or environmental factors.

I voluntarily assume all such risks and accept full responsibility for my participation in the Event.

 

2. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Ascension Football Group, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, contractors, and facility providers (collectively, “the Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Event, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury, illness, or death;

  • Property loss or damage;

  • Negligence, gross negligence, or omission by any of the Released Parties;

  • The actions or inactions of any other participant or third party;

  • Any condition of the facilities, equipment, or environment;

  • Any act, event, or circumstance occurring before, during, or after my participation in the Event.
     

This release applies to any and all forms of liability, without limitation, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Cayman Islands.

 

3. Medical Authorization

I authorize Ascension Football Group staff, medical personnel, or event representatives to administer basic first aid or to seek medical treatment on my behalf in the event of injury or illness during the Event.

I understand that I am responsible for any and all resulting medical expenses.

 

4. Fitness to Participate

I certify that I am in good health and physically capable of participating in the Event’s activities. I have no medical conditions that would limit or endanger my participation, and I will immediately notify Event officials of any injury or condition arising during the Event.

 

5. Media and Image Release

I grant Ascension Football Group full permission to capture, use, reproduce, and distribute photographs, videos, or other media featuring my image, likeness, voice, or performance taken during the Event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, without compensation.

All such materials shall remain the exclusive property of Ascension Football Group.

 

6. Personal Property

I acknowledge that Ascension Football Group is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during the Event.

 

7. Conduct and Compliance

I agree to conduct myself in a professional and respectful manner throughout the Event and to comply with all instructions, safety rules, and event regulations issued by Ascension Football Group or its staff.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event without refund or further liability.

 

8. Data Collection and Consent

I understand and consent that Ascension Football Group may collect and securely store my personal and athletic data for purposes directly related to the Event, such as registration, evaluation, and communication with participating coaches and scouts.

My information will be handled in accordance with the Cayman Islands Data Protection Act (2021 Revision) and the AFG Privacy Policy.

 

9. Governing Law

This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands, and any disputes arising from participation in the Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cayman Islands courts.

 

10. Acknowledgment and Signature

I have read and fully understand this Waiver and Release of Liability. I am aware that by signing it, I am giving up certain legal rights that I or my representatives may have against Ascension Football Group. I sign this document freely and voluntarily.
